Leap This, February!

24 02 2016

Okay, I know it only happens once every four years, but who thought up the brilliant idea of giving the extra day in Leap Year to February???

Yes, I know it’s the shortest month, but there’s good reason for that. It’s crappy! There are a number of other months that could make much better use of that Leap Day.  Sweet June or amber September – even whiny April or homecoming November –  could easily handle a “31st” every four years, but no; we had to give it to February.

February.

Dark.

Cold.

February.

Brilliant.

At least, this is the last Wednesday in the month, so I will say farewell – no – good riddance to you, February.  Enjoy your extra day, you cold-(valentine)hearted calendar cockroach of a month.

C’mon Daylight Saving Time. The equinox is in sight. We’re (almost) on the March.

I suspect the same individual that suggested (or imposed!) the shift between Daylight Savings and Standard time in the U.S. 🙂

Some bureaucrat with an evil sense of humor or a bad hangover, I’m sure, Eric.

Yes, there is no logical reason for turning the clock backwards and forwards. I don’t mind leap year nearly as much as our biannual foray into time insanity.

I LOVE DST. Hate when it reverts back. Can we just spring forward and stay there, please?
